![]() Now if RS ever adds detailed mapping, then I would consider tier 2 for sure. So I'm not sure tier 2 would be worth it to me. I use a lot of free place files for stuff like surface ops and also used Allison House this spring and used some of their shape file contours. I run GR on my laptop when chasing mainly so I can get detailed maps and a bigger screen. I have only played with teir 2 on other chaser's devices. The app is an almost full-screen map with multiple. I will also note that I consider the yearly tier 1 cost as an investment in future features (sure you get upgrade versions and great support with just the one time payment, but I am happy to contribute yearly). RadarScope is designed for a true weather (or weather radar) aficionado. I rarely used the extra frames in loop playback, but some folks will want that. AH isn't required though just a nice to have. I usually left lighting turned off to declutter the display, but did use it sometimes to help select between two distant targets. Tier 2's value depends if you would use those features. I also used the inspector tool a lot (mainly out of curiosity to see how high wind speeds where). I find the dual panel (being able to look at 2 products at the same time) very useful (although on a phone a little small). Although I have let my tier 1 subscription expire, I plan to renew.
